In February 2008, the Stockport Partnership Board approved the terms of reference for a 'Public Services Commissioners' Co-ordinating Board (PSCCB). The PSCCB brings together the main commissioners of public services in the borough; Stockport Council, Stockport Primary Care Trust, GM Police, Learning and Skills Council and Job Centre Plus.
The role of the PSCCB is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public expenditure in the locality to achieve the borough’s ambitions. It also has particular responsibility within the Stockport Partnership to oversee the effective delivery of Stockport’s Local Area Agreement and Comprehensive Area Assessment and to the impact of the Multi-Area Agreement on Stockport.
