The Stockport Partnership
The Stockport Partnership brings together representatives from the voluntary, community, public and business sectors to work together to improve the quality of life in Stockport.
The role of the partnership is to improve the quality of life for local people by setting out a long term vision for Stockport, promoting social, environmental and economic wellbeing, pinpointing problems, improving services and targeting resources to address local needs.
These aims are set out in more detail in Stockport’s Borough Plan.
This Plan – ‘Investing in Stockport’ sets out how to respond to the challenges facing the Borough. It’s based on all public agencies working together in new ways with the people and businesses in the Borough.
Stockport’s Borough Plan
The Stockport Borough Plan for 2015–2020 has been published, following a collaborative process across the partnership.
The plan provides a high-level vision for the Borough over the next five years that all partners can work towards. This is based on the Investing in Stockport Shared Outcomes Framework, and is supported by a range of organisational and partnership plans and strategies which outline in more detail how individual public agencies are contributing to outcomes in the Borough.
The Stockport Partnership held a conference on Friday 4th March 2016 aimed at supporting the Council and partner workforce to take up the challenge of delivering the vision and outcomes set out in the Borough Plan.
We want our workforce to get involved, play their part and help the wider public sector to understand their role in delivering the plan.
The programme for this event can be seen under useful documents.
We are Investing in Stockport through four programmes:
Putting people at the centre of health and social care services in the borough by changing the way that social workers, mental health services, GP’s and the Hospital work with our communities.
Working closely with local people and communities to share ideas on how services can be delivered differently and how they can get involved in making their community a better place to live.
